Lets meet with Attahira Subrin Ruku
Ruku is an 8-year-old girl living with a severe physical disability. She cannot stand or walk, and still moves around by crawling. Though she can sit with some effort, she is unable to speak, and her only true language is shared with her parents—who understand her needs, emotions, and unspoken words more deeply than anyone else.
Ruku depends entirely on her parents for every aspect of her daily life. Whether it’s moving from one place to another, eating, or simply expressing how she feels, her world is shaped by their care and devotion.
Her father, a private company employee with a stable income, opens up about the emotional weight they carry. “We are not struggling financially,” he says, “but having a child who cannot speak, stand, or walk brings deep emotional pain. We worry about her future constantly. The love within our family is strong, but it’s heartbreaking to hear hurtful comments from others who don’t understand her condition.”
Ruku’s story is not just about disability—it is a story of enduring love, strength in the face of challenges, and the quiet hope for a better tomorrow
